Setting a PIN
Setting a PIN allows you to:
- protect individual apps on the Hubbl Glass by requiring a PIN to be entered upon launching the app (except for Kayo Sports, BINGE , Flash and LifeStyle, which can instead be managing by changing your device's classification restrictions)
- manage certain ratings (such as restrict anything above an M rating)
- restrict Pay Per View purchases.
Other than R18+ classified content being PIN-restricted, the default PIN setting for all other PIN settings is “Off”. When set to “On” for an app, rating, Pay Per View purchase or My Account change, you’ll need to enter the PIN to continue.
By default, your PIN will be the last four digits of the mobile number linked to your account, unless you change it.
Note: If the mobile number on your account is updated, the default PIN will not change.
How can I change a PIN?
To change a PIN:
- Press the Home button, then scroll down to Settings or use voice search.
- Under Parental , select Change PIN .
- Enter your new PIN.
Can I unlock a PIN?
No. For security reasons, if you’ve entered the wrong PIN three times in a row, it will be blocked for 10 minutes. After the 10 minutes is up, you can try to enter your PIN again or reset it by visiting hubbl.com.au/forgotpin. Our Hubbl Help team won’t be able to unblock this any sooner.
What if I’ve forgotten my PIN?
By default, your PIN is the last four digits of the mobile number linked to your account, unless you’ve changed it.
If you’ve changed the PIN and can’t remember it, you can either visit hubbl.com.au/forgotpin or reset it on the device:
- From the home screen, scroll down to My Account .
- Scroll down to Account PIN & Controls .
- Select Forgot PIN .
- You’ll receive an email with a new PIN.
- Switch the Hubbl device off at the wall. You do not need to unplug it.
- Switch the Hubbl device back on at the wall.
Use this temporary PIN to change your PIN:
- Press the Home button on the Hubbl remote, then scroll down to Settings or use voice search.
- Under Parental , select Change PIN .
- Enter your new PIN.
Note:There may be a short delay in your PIN being changed.
If I have multiple Hubbl devices, is the PIN the same?
How can I manage Parental Controls?
- Say “ OK Hubbl”, then say “ Settings”.
- Select Parental.
- Select Manage parental settings.
- Enter your PIN.
What can I restrict with a PIN?
Within the Parental settings, you can mange what requires a PIN to access, including:
- Pay Per View content
- content above a certain classification
- third-party apps.
A PIN will only control classifications within Hubbl apps and free-to-air linear channels ( BINGE , Kayo Sports, LifeStyle and Flash). For all other apps, you’ll need to set parental controls within the individual app.
For extra protection, you can PIN-restrict all third-party apps.
